\nFrance\u2019s captain was flanker Christian Carr\u00e8re. Also, in the back row were Walter Spanghero and Michel Greffe. And Elie Cester along with lain Plantefol at Lock forward. Michel Yachvili (the father of Dimitri) was at hooker. Either side at Prop was Jean-Claude Noble and Michel Lasserre.
\nFrance Rugby\u2019s first Grand Slam wearing the away jersey<\/p>\n
The team marched on to the Arms Park in Cardiff. Wearing their away jerseys that inspired the Ellis Rugby designs. The three-quarter included Centre\u2019s Jo Maso and Claude Dourthe. Andr\u00e9 Campaes and Jean-Marie Bonal were on the wings and Claude Lacaze at full-back. The half-back pairing included brothers Guy and Lillian Camberabero. Two clever tacticians.

The second half saw tries by the French skipper Christian Carr\u00e8re and Lillian Camberabero. With brother Guy adding a conversion and a second penalty. He also added a drop goal to secure the final result of 14 points to 9. And the first-ever French Grand Slam (Grand Chelem).
